El jefe de la delegación designada por el Gobierno Nacional para el diálogo con la oposición política, Jorge Rodríguez, destacó este viernes, cuando se realiza un nuevo encuentro en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, que se avanza hacia un acuerdo definitivo con el referido sector de la vida venezolana.
En declaraciones a la prensa, a su llegada al Centro de Convención de la Cancillería dominicana, mencionó que el Gobierno del presidente Nicolás Maduro insiste en llegar a ese acuerdo en función de la convivencia pacífica en el país.
Indicó que este viernes se espera discutir la operatividad —límites y mecanismos— de los seis puntos que se han venido tratando en los encuentros anteriores: Comisión de la Verdad, garantías económicas, garantías políticas y electorales, reconocimiento a la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente, equilibrio institucional, y situación económica y social.
“Hemos avanzado bastante en los seis puntos de la agenda, que estaban planteado desde hace bastante tiempo”, manifestó, al tiempo en que dio el mensaje de agradecimiento enviado por el Jefe de Estado venezolano al pueblo y Gobierno de República Dominicana, así como a los países acompañantes y al expresidente de España José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
El Mandatario nacional “insiste en que busquemos la forma de llegar a un acuerdo de convivencia pacífica en Venezuela”, y este viernes “venimos siempre con el mejor de los ánimos. Somos insistentes, somos tercos, somos persistente, y sospecho, creo, que vamos hacia un acuerdo definitivo con la oposición”.
El también vicepresidente de Gobierno para la Comunicación y Cultura, en sus declaraciones a la prensa, destacó la voluntad del Gobierno y del pueblo de Venezuela en avanzar y dirimir las diferencias sobre la base del diálogo, la conversación y la confrontación de las ideas.
Evidencia de ello, refirió, son los más de 330 llamados al diálogos realizados por el Presidente Maduro, así como en la participación de los venezolanos en los tres eventos comiciales efectuados en el país desde julio de este año: Asamblea Nacional Constituyente, escogencia de los gobernadores y la elección de los alcaldes.
“Es un mensaje muy claro que las venezolanas y que los venezolanos están mandando al mundo entero y le mandan a la oposición venezolana” de la necesidad “de dirimir nuestros asuntos bajos los cánones que establece la política, la convivencia pacífica, el diálogo, la conversación”.
El primer acercamiento en la isla caribeña ocurrió el 13 de septiembre pasado, luego que el presidente Maduro, en aras de consolidar la estabilidad de la República, aceptara la invitación de Rodríguez Zapatero y del Gobierno de República Dominicana, presidido por Danilo Medina.
Posteriormente se realizó una reunión preparatoria de seis horas con la oposición venezolana para continuar con la fase exploratoria del diálogo como vía para consolidar la paz. La misma se efectuó el 16 de noviembre, y en ella se pautó un encuentro para el 1º y 2 de diciembre.
En esa oportunidad, la reunión se desarrolló con la intermediación del presidente de República Dominicana, Danilo Medina; así como de los cancilleres de Chile, México, Bolivia, Nicaragua y del expresidente del gobierno español José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
A la reunión de este viernes, Jorge Rodríguez asiste con Delcy Rodríguez, presidenta de la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente (ANC). La oposición está representada por Manuel Rosales, Luis Florido, Timoteo Zambrano, Enrique Márquez y Julio Borges.
“Saludamos que de manera valiente estén sentados. Esperamos que no se levanten hasta lograr un acuerdo satisfactorio”, expresó Rodríguez.
