Hace 14 años nació la constitución de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, que fue propuesta e impulsada por el líder de la Revolución Bolivariana, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, poco tiempo después de ganar las Elecciones Presidenciales, en el año 1998.
En el año 1999 por medio de una convocatoria de referéndum, el pueblo venezolano aprobó con más del 70 % de los votos la aprobación de una nueva carta magna y refundar república, dejando atrás los vicios de las cúpulas partidistas que tanto daño le hicieron a la nación venezolana durante más de 40 años.
Es por esto, que hoy quince de diciembre se celebran esos catorce años de lucha interminable. “La Bicha”, como le decía el Comandante Eterno Hugo Chávez, ha tenido que soportar: Golpe de Estado, paro petrolero, sabotaje a la economía entre otros, saliendo siempre victoriosa de aquellos poderes económicos que no querían un cambio en la patria de Bolívar, “dentro de la Constitución todo, fuera de ella nada”, decía constantemente Hugo Chávez.
En este sentido, Manuel Vadel, ex constituyente, quien participó en un programa especial de Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) dijo que “me siento eufórico y deseando que se cumplan todos los postulados de nuestra constitución”.
Agregó, “en primer lugar teníamos una chucuta constitución, la constitución del 61 tenía una serie de debilidades que hoy en día al compararla nos damos cuenta que no era una constitución para una democracia perfectible como la nuestra. Era una constitución que limitaba exageradamente los derechos del venezolano”.
Igualmente, la ministra del Poder Popular para los Servicios Penitenciarios, Iris Varela, dijo “como constituyente del año 99 dejo esta carta magna que para nosotros ha sido el arma más poderosa con que la revolución bolivariana a dotado al pueblo”.
