Remoción de escombros, pintura y acondicionamiento del espacio fueron algunas de las labores realizadas en este centro cultural, ubicado debajo de la Plaza Bolívar.
Caracas, 26 de marzo de 2013.- La Alcaldía del Municipio Bolivariano Libertador, a través de la Fundación para la Protección y Defensa del Patrimonio Cultural (Fundapatrimonio), Fundación para Cultura y las Artes (Fundarte) y el Gobierno del Distrito Capital (GDC), tienen previsto dar apertura, en los próximos días, a la Sala de Lectura Manuelita Sáenz, ubicada en la parte baja de la histórica Plaza Bolívar.
Las puertas de este espacio cultural, perteneciente a la parroquia Catedral, ofrecerá nuevamente un lugar para la lectura y el sano aprendizaje de niñas y niños.
En esta oportunidad, los trabajos de recuperación integral ejecutados fueron remoción de escombros, sustitución del cielo raso en mal estado, aplicación de pintura en la parte interna, pulitura de pisos, instalación de nuevas y mejoradas lámparas, aire acondicionado, alfombras entre otros.
Este centro de lectura, brinda variedad de cuentos infantiles y educativos para toda la ciudadanía, también posee una sala audiovisual, área central para juegos didácticos y un escenario para las presentaciones artístico-culturales, donde además se ofrecen talleres de creatividad y actividades recreativas a para los visitantes.
Es así como el Gobierno Bolivariano, a través de sus políticas educativas, fortalece y dignifica los valores y el aprendizaje del pueblo socialista.
