Caracas 27 de febrero de 2013.- A fin de seguir con las acciones para evitar el acaparamiento y la especulación, la Alcaldía de Caracas a través de la Policía Municipal de Caracas, y la Dirección de Control Urbano, conjuntamente con la Superintendencia Nacional de Silos y Depósitos Agrícolas (Sada) y el Instituto para la Defensa de las Personas en el Acceso a los Bienes y Servicios (Indepabis), localizaron 16 contenedores equivalentes a unos 260 toneladas de alimentos, previstos a distribuirse de manera ilegal, en un galpón ubicado en la avenida Los Pinos, en la urbanización La Florida.
Robinson Navarro, director de la Policía de Caracas, dio la información y destacó que gracias a las labores de inteligencia de ese cuerpo de seguridad, políticas que se llevan a cabo bajo la gestión que realiza el Alcalde de Caracas, Jorge Rodríguez, se pudo evitar el comercio ilegal de los alimentos incautados. Múltiples variedades de productos confiscados serán entregados a la Integral de Mercados (Inmerca) para su “justa distribución a precios dignos”.
Agregó que “hasta ahora solo se ha podido responsabilizar a la persona que custodiaba los contenedores; sin embargo, seguimos las investigaciones. Ha sido la misma comunidad que ha denunciado la entrada y salida de camiones de diferentes pescaderías a este galpón”.
Navarro explicó, que el depósito no contaba con ningún tipo de permisología sanitaria correspondiente para operar este tipo de alimentos. De la misma manera el Funcionario Policial agregó, que había una cantidad considerable de productos, de procedencia importada, en estado de descomposición, los cuales se presume serían distribuidos a los consumidores.
Según informó el funcionario, en el almacén presuntamente trabajaban para las empresas: Rodalbas, Deli Supredones y el Barquero. Igualmente manifestó que el establecimiento se manejaba en arrendamiento de espacio para diversos comercios. Finalmente, agregó que las averiguaciones están abiertas para detectar cualquier otro tipo de irregularidades que se estaban cometiendo en este lugar.
Por su parte, el director de Control Urbano, Daniel Di Giminiani, explicó que se trata del funcionamiento de una cadena de fríos totalmente ilegal, además no tienen conformidad de uso y el establecimiento no muestra permisología. “El pueblo cuenta con un gobierno revolucionario que va a estar en constante vigilancia para evitar estas situaciones”, advirtió.
El presidente de Inmerca, Franco Manrique, advirtió que “estamos en un terreno donde fueron demolidas dos viviendas y construidas unas instalaciones industriales con oficinas sin permisos. En la gestión del Alcalde Jorge Rodríguez ha sido una línea combatir las mafias. La ética y la moral revolucionaria se está demostrando, hay una pulcritud de los organismos que aquí actúan y lo que encontramos es una acción delictiva”.
