En rueda de prensa desde el Comando de Campaña Carabobo, Maduro invitó al pueblo venezolana a ejercer su derecho al sufragio.
Caracas, 16 de diciembre del 2012.- En rueda de prensa junto a la directiva del Comando Campaña Carabobo, el Vicepresidente Ejecutivo de la República, Nicolás Maduro destacó la confianza en el sistema electoral venezolano, «reconocido en la actualidad como el mejor del mundo».
Maduro manifestó que estamos en una democracia plena con elecciones permanentes, «hasta ahora se han realizado cuatro elecciones para gobernadores donde el pueblo ha participado de forma masiva y donde ha sido el protagonista».
Asimismo, Maduro exhortó a los diferentes sectores y candidatos a reconocer los resultados de los comicios regionales que se celebran este domingo en Venezuela, los cuales serán emitidos por el CNE al finalizar la jornada.
Acotó que el Presidente de la República, necesita gobernadores que trabajen de la mano con el Gobierno Nacional, para la continuidad de los proyectos, poniendo como ejemplo a lo que denominó «el binomio de Oro en Caracas», Jorge Rodríguez, Alcalde y Jacqueline Faría, Jefa de Gobierno de Distrito Capital.
El Vicepresidente indicó que el poder electoral ha demostrado el carácter profundamente democrático de la vida de la república, «la constitución abrió las puertas para que el pueblo fuera el protagonista. Tenemos una constitución, que garantiza que el pueblo salga a expresar su voluntad sagrada».
Recordó que las mesas estarán abiertas hasta las 6 de la tarde o hasta que existan electores, así mismo dio un reconocimiento a los militares del Plan República, que custodian todo el proceso.
