En el marco de la Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela, el Alcalde de Caracas, Jorge Rodríguez, realizó la entrega de 88 viviendas en el Complejo Integral Urbanístico Santa Rosa I y II, ubicado en la avenida Libertador, diseñadas por el arquitecto Fruto Vivas.
El mandatario municipal, Jorge Rodríguez, señaló que “estas viviendas fueron construidas en espacios y terrenos municipales que habían sido tomados y privatizados para convertirlos en chiveras, en talleres mecánicos, en depósitos, mientras que estas familias vivían en terrenos inestables con la angustia de perder sus casas en las lluvias de septiembre, octubre y noviembre del año 2010”.
“Aquí en Santa Rosa está el ejemplo más palpable de cómo la revolución construye ciudad, construye el derecho humano a la ciudad. Estos apartamentos están siendo habitados por dos grupos de personas, hermanas y hermanos que vienen de refugios que perdieron sus casas en las lluvias de 2010, pero también habitantes del barrio Santa Rosa que habían sido olvidados por décadas, vivían en una especie de palafitos en el lecho de las quebradas”.
Viviendas del barrio Santa Rosa que estaban en pésimas condiciones fueron tumbadas y “vía Misión Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor, estamos construyendo viviendas con un material que nos permite trabajar rápidamente. 50 viviendas se están construyendo, donde antes habían viviendas que no tenían ningún tipo de condición para la vida”, expresó el Alcalde de Caracas, Jorge Rodríguez, quién además informó que se están construyendo otras 23 mil viviendas más para las familias que están en refugios.
“Estoy agradecida, feliz, contenta, tanto con el Gobierno Nacional como con nuestro Alcalde, Jorge Rodríguez, por habernos entregado estos bellos apartamentos y les digo a mis compañeros que aún están en la espera de su vivienda, que tengan paciencia, que estoy segura que pronto les llegará la feliz noticia de que su casa está lista”, así lo afirmó Nidia Isabel Méndez Botello, quien luego de estar un tiempo refugiada con su familia en el Hotel Yare, hoy se materializó su sueño de tener su vivienda digna.
