El Alcalde de Caracas, Jorge Rodríguez, realizó un recorrido para inspeccionar la rehabilitación del teatro La Alameda, ubicado en la parroquia San Agustín, un espacio para el intercambio cultural, el encuentro y la presentación de obras de teatro, espectáculos musicales, exposición de obras de artes y actos políticos.
En el teatro también funcionará una casa cultural que albergará salas de ensayos, proyección, talleres y unidades socio productivas.
La sala principal tendrá un aforo de aproximadamente 310 personas y contará con escenario, sala de estar, sala de exposiciones, área de estiramiento para artistas, una sección longitudinal en la que estará la taquilla interna y una radio comunitaria. La sala secundaria contará con una capacidad de aproximadamente 154 personas, un salón de usos múltiples, sala de música y talleres de danza, costura y artesanales.
Precisó Jorge Rodríguez, que ya se ha recuperado más de 1 millón 600 mil metros cuadrados deespacios públicos y patrimoniales en toda la ciudad de Caracas, en forma de parques, plazas y bulevares. “El parque Los Caobos, el parque Ezequiel Zamora en El Calvario, el bulevar de Catia, el bulevar César Rengifo en El Cementerio, el bulevar de Antímano. Vamos a llevar el bulevar de Ruíz Pineda de 900 metros a 1.5 kilómetros (…), vamos a continuar hasta que lleguemos hasta el nuevo parque Cipriano Castro en El Calvario”, expresó.
El mandatario municipal, Jorge Rodríguez, dijo que “todo este proceso de recuperación de espacios públicos, nos motiva a seguir recuperándolos, por eso siempre he dicho que cada punto de llegada en Revolución es un punto de partida”.
