El Alcalde de Caracas, Jorge Rodríguez, vía telefónica, habló con Gladys Rodríguez, periodista y locutora, en el programa Gladys en Kys por la emisora Kys101.5 FM.
En la segunda hora del programa, el Alcalde de Caracas pudo hablar acerca de su vida, estudios, carrera universitaria y trayectoria política desde sus inicios, pasando por los diferentes cargos en el gabinete ministerial, hasta la actualidad siendo Alcalde.
Enfatizó que “me gustaría muchísimo ganar las elecciones del 8 de diciembre y seguir siendo Alcalde de Caracas para continuar trabajando en proyectos fundamentales que nos han permitido cambiar de forma radical la concepción y la fax del Municipio Bolivariano Libertador. Realmente de todos los trabajos que he tenido, el que me ha resultado más fascinante es el trabajo como Alcalde de la ciudad de Caracas”.
El mandatario municipal comentó en la entrevista que Caracas fue una ciudad que vivió por más de cuarenta años en el olvido, en viviendas sin servicio y además sometida a una anarquía brutal y con la desaparición de los espacios públicos.
Recalcó que “estamos en 108 de los 417 barrios de Caracas y con la gran Misión Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor antes del mes de diciembre del año 2014 estarán listos los 417, habremos cambiado los ascensores de 2600 de los 3100 edificios que tiene la ciudad”.
“Nosotros encontramos 0,9 metros cuadrados por cada habitante de espacios verdes de plazas y vamos en 1.3 metros cuadrados por habitantes, la construcción del Gran Parque Hugo Chávez, con 250 hectáreas de parques verdes de jardines, esparcimiento para nuestras niñas y nuestros niños, estadios de futbol, beisbol, el nuevo terminal de pasajeros”, añadió Rodríguez.
Finalizó diciendo que su prioridad en la vida en conjunto con su trabajo y misión en la Alcaldía de Municipio Bolivariano Libertador son sus hijos y lo recalcó expresando que “el primer proyecto de un revolucionario son sus hijos. Estoy pendiente de mis hijos, no soy padre de fin de semana, soy padre a tiempo completo, me dedico en cuerpo y alma a mis hijos. Tengo tres hijos, Lucia, Juan Pedro y Matías y le inculco diferentes valores entre ellos la solidaridad, la compasión del latín acompañar y ellos han crecido y con muchos valores”.
