Con el fin de apoyar las candidaturas de Jorge Rodríguez para la Alcaldía Libertador y Aristóbulo Istúriz para la Alcaldía Mayor, se llevó a cabo el día de hoy jueves un evento organizado por el Sindicato Bolivariano del Empleado Público del Consejo del Municipio Libertador, en el auditórium de la sede del INCRET en El Paraíso. Al encuentro asistieron más de 300 dirigentes de 46 sindicatos.
El evento sirvió de marco para que en el discurso Rodríguez aseverará lo que ya se ha vuelto una premisa: “Caracas no se puede gobernar desde la Plaza Bolívar”. En este orden de ideas, aseguró que junto con Istúriz trabajarán en la consolidación del Poder Popular. Además afirmó que el PSUV es un partido revolucionario, un partido de los trabajadores, concretándose en este apoyo comprometido de los sindicatos, quienes agregaron que participarán en una nueva forma de gobernar Caracas.
El candidato a la alcaldía del Municipio Libertador resaltó el papel fundamental de la clase trabajadora en la consolidación de la revolución bolivariana, y en ese sentido, hizo un llamado a la unidad y a la organización de los trabajadores y trabajadoras en torno al programa socialista.
A la reunión también asistió el viceministro del trabajo Jesús Farías quién escuchó las propuestas de los voceros de los sindicatos del sector público, salud, construcción, transporte, educación, bancario, eléctrico, educación y farmacéutico.

I think what a lot of posters are minissg is that Robert’s Rules of Order aren’t what will push out Chavez. The real legwork for removing Chavez will be done by mass protests and some cold, hard calculating by community organizers, student leaders and politicians, many of whose names will probably never be known to the public. In the meantime, there’s nothing wrong with sucking it up and not allowing yourself to get goaded into dumb punch-ups in the AN. Legislators trading back and forth insults helps Chavez because nothing gets done and serious accusations against the government don’t get leveled as long as there’s a good circus going on in the Asamblea.
